New nationalities show up at the campus

With the beginning of the second semester, new international students have joined our university. This new arrival comprises 95 exchange students, and it is characterised by its diversity: they represent 19 different countries.

The University has organised a Welcome Session to celebrate their arrival. First thing, they have met at Aula Magna, where the acting dean, Eva Perea, has addressed a few words to the newcomers. Then, there have been some lectures throughout the morning, which have provided key information to make the most out of their campus life and the city of Barcelona. In the afternoon, they were to meet their corresponding tutors.

Halfway through the session, an activity called Ice Breaking has taken place in the courtyard. The idea is to perform group dynamics, which will help to establish their first ties.

On Thursday 1st of February at 10 a.m., those willing to attend the free Spanish course were able to take a level test. In the afternoon, a guided tour through the Gothic quarter was awaiting them. A good first contact with the city that will host them for the next months.
