Why study at the UAO CEU?

1. PhD training

The official master's degree in Research in Legal Sciences has as its main objective to qualify the students for the access to a PhD programme in Law, thus as the ideal academic track to develop and defend a thesis in the Law discipline field.

We have been training jurists since 1973. We are the private university with more experience in the Law field in Catalonia.

This master’s degree combines three simultaneous teaching methodologies:

  • Discussion seminars on practical cases based on real assumptions

4. Modality

This master is taught on a blended learning modality. The academic design and ordinance of the programme is specifically conceived to be fully compatible with the practice of a Law profession: judges, lawyers, notary publics, registrars, tax collectors, attorneys, etc.

Our faculty is composed by academics, lawyers, magistrates and other professionals of the Law, selected for their careers, prestige and teaching capacities.

6. Information resources

The Library Service is conceived as a support unit for study and research. Its most important objective is to meet the educative and scientific demands. It has convenient opening hours, including weekends, with the best computer equipment. In addition, the UAO CEU offers to all the University community a vast digital storage, with free access to its publications from its docent, research or institutional activities carried out by teachers, students or former students from the University.

Single payment

This method involves a 3% discount on the enrolment fees.

Instalment payment

50% at the time of enrolment and 50% in January.

Monthly payment

10 instalments with special financing at 0% interest with Banc Sabadell (Check opening charges).

Other payment methods

With Banco Santander, "la Caixa", Catalunya Caixa, BBVA and Banc Sabadell. This method also involves a 3% discount on the enrolment fees.

ADMISSION PROFILE

Students wishing to apply for the official master’s degree in Research in Legal Sciences must have a Spanish degree or advanced course (general degree, degree or honours degree) or a foreign degree (equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree  in the Anglo-Saxon system).

This master is especially addressed to graduates in Law or Political Sciences who are required to hold an official master’s degree to have access to a PhD.

 

OBJECTIVES

The purpose of this master’s degree of Research in Legal Sciences is to provide our students with the right tools to be able to complete their PhD in the legal area afterwards, and to do so without interfering in the routine of the student who may be an active jurist on duty.
